Disney’s Deluxe Resort Pools

Deluxe Resorts

Deluxe Resorts offer some of the nicest pools on Disney property. Pools here seem to spare no expense or luxury and often seem like a smaller water park. If you’re the kind of guest who wants to take a break mid-day the deluxe resort pools make it easy to do. Both the Yacht Club and Beach Club resorts are adjacent and share pools with each other.

Animal Kingdom Lodge

Uzima Pool at Jambo House at Animal Kingdom Lodge

The pools at Animal Kingdom Lodge are known as Samawati Springs and Uzima Pool. There’s also a kids pool is known as Uwanja Camp. All are a touch low-key since the resort is located adjacent to the animals of Animal Kingdom. The larger pools both have zero-depth entry, a water slide, and plenty of relaxing lounge chairs.

Yacht and Beach Club

Between the Yacht and Beach Clubs you’ll find 3 quiet pools. The Beach Club has one main pool located centrally between the resorts and another pool located near the villas. The central pool is known as Stormalong Bay. It covers 3 acres of land and spans both resort properties. One section of the pool has jets that push you along the water, another section has a sandy bottom, and there’s a 230-foot water slide into yet another section. The zero-entry portion of the pool is actually designed to look like a sandy beach complete with sand. This is a very popular pool so expect crowds.

Boardwalk Inn

BoardWalk Inn Pool

There are 2 quiet pools at BoardWalk Inn but the real feature is the Luna Park Pool. The pool is themed around 1940s Atlantic City and influenced by the park of the same name that once resided in Charleston. The 200-foot water slide resembles an old wooden roller coaster. Even the pool’s concession stand looks like a big top. The pool can be used by Boardwalk Inn or Boardwalk Villa guests.

Disney World's Contemporary Resort Pool

The main pool here is quite calm but futuristic with a water slide and a nearby quiet pool. Both offer hot tubs. The best feature of the main pool are the private cabanas available. Your family can rent one and enjoy a flat screen TV, mp3 docking station, stocked mini-fridge, and can even have food delivered while you spend time in the pool area.

There’s also a second main pool at the Contemporary in the Bay Lake Tower area. Only Disney Vacation Club guests may use this area and its water slide.

Grand Floridian

Walt Disney Grand Floridian Resort Pool

The Grand Floridian pool is a luxurious one to fit with the Victorian feel of the hotel. The large Courtyard pool is a quiet pool open 24 hours a day. The main Beach Pool resembles a beach and offers cabanas like those seen at the Contemporary. The pool itself has waterfalls, a water slide, and a hot tub. From the top of the water slide you can see the Seven Seas Lagoon central to Disney World.

Old Key West

A Disney Vacation Club Resort, Old Key West is themed around the Florida Keys. It has 3 pools and one main pool with a water slide, children’s pool, and hot tub. The water slide is a giant sand castle which is sure to entertain young kids.

Polynesian Volcano Pool

The Polynesian Resort is Hawaiian themed so it should be no surprise the pool is Hawaiian themed as well. You’ll find cabanas here, and at the Nanea Volcano Pool you’ll have a chance to enjoy a heated pool with a volcano and a water slide. The volcano includes a waterfall that pours into the water below. There’s also a heated quiet pool on the grounds so you’ll have a chance to relax Hawaiian style if you want.

Saratoga Springs

Lisa Saratoga Springs Pool Play Area

This Disney Vacation Club resort is themed around late-1800s New York and its Saratoga Race Course where horses have raced since 1863. The High Rock Spring Pool features rock formations, waterfalls, and a tube water slide. The kids’ area of the pool includes a Donald Duck water structure with jets shooting out of the ground.

Wilderness Lodge

Inside Wilderness Lodge is a bubbling creek that gently weaves its way outside until it forms a waterfall overlooking the Silver Creek Springs pool. The pool includes a hot tub and water slide and while you’re swimming you can catch views of Fire Rock Geyser, a nearby water feature resembling Old Faithful. There is a second pool at Wilderness Lodge called The Hidden Springs pool. It has jets which create a hot spring effect in the pool and a large hot tub for relaxing in.
