5 for $500: The Rules

We often feature luxury trips or dream trips on TravelHyper but not every trip has to be expensive. We all have budgets to stick to and if you’re like me, you’re always looking for ways to save. With that in mind, this week is a new theme for us: 5 for $500. The idea is simple, I’ll show you one trip each day that your family can take this summer with each trip falling under just $500.

Money

The Rules

  1. You must provide your own transportation. My $500 plans assume you will drive or fly to your specific destination at your own expense. It’s hard for me to know where you are coming from so I will just be showing you where you’ll be going.
  2. These trips are all for a family of 4 with 2 adults and 2 kids (I used the ages 6 and 8 to get quotes and make plans)
  3. The trip will take place somewhere in the week of June 5 through June 12. I realize not all schools across the country have completed by this point in time but in the interest of budget travel, it’s the week I chose.

What’s Included

  1. 2 nights in a hotel with 2 beds
  2. 2 breakfasts, 2 lunches, 2 dinners
  3. 2 activities for your family to enjoy

Are you up to the challenge? Read all week for the top trip ideas on our end or suggest your own. Feel free to request your own budget travel challenge by emailing me at [email protected] or by leaving your challenge in the comments.

I’m Julie, I love to travel, I’m very hyper and I like to “hype” things and from that, TravelHyper was born.

I’m a Missouri native and I cover St. Louis travel ideas as well as my own travels. I also like to focus on places I want to visit and budget travel ideas by creating trip plans. There’s so much world out there and I hope you’ll find that it’s worth seeing and that vacation doesn’t have to be out of reach to you.
