Deal Breakdown- Disney World

Beautiful Disney World at SunsetPhoto by Stuck in customs

Disney has announced some of their upcoming deals for late-2010 and early-2011. Disney World is offering 25%-40% off rooms for select dates October 2010 through February 2011 OR free dining on select dates October 2010 through September 2011. Click here for more details and requirements.

Since this is an either/or option, you might be wondering which savings option will save you the most cash. In today’s Deal Breakdown, I compared 3 different resorts (One each-Deluxe, Moderate and Value) for a 7 night stay with 7 days in the park during the week of 1/25/2011-2/1/2011. I also had both plans take advantage of the Disney Dining Plan and the Park Hopper option. I give you the breakdown by 2 adults, 2 adults and 2 children, and 4 adults. Again, this is just a sample but it can help you make the best decision when planning your own Disney vacation.

Resort Room Discount Free Dining Guests
Contemporary Resort-Tower Room w/ Park view $3498 $4328 2 Adults
$4260 $4922 2 Adults,
2 Kids
$5179 $5365 4 Adults
Port Orleans French Quarter- Standard Room $2152 $1879 2 Adults
$2914 $2433 2 Adults,
2 Kids
$3676 $2758 4 Adults
Pop Century-
Standard Room
$1791 $1469 2 Adults
$2553 $2063 2 Adults,
2 Kids
$3236 $2424 4 Adults

By doing our deal breakdown, you can see that unless you have your heart set on a Deluxe Resort, you’d do better off choosing the Free Dining option. If you want to know which resort you’ll save the most at, I’ve done a Deal Breakdown for that too.

If you have a party of 2 adults, stay at a deluxe resort using their hotel discount to save 24%.
If you have a party of 2 adults and 2 children, take the free dining at the value resort to save 24% here.
And to save the big bucks, 4 adults should choose free dining at a value resort to save a whopping 34%.

Book by November 21, 2010 to save on rooms and December 20, 2010 to save on dining.
